Help Finder
Resource Help Finder is the app — food, a hot meal, shelter, help with bills and rides for the South Bend area. Renamed from South Bend Help Finder: Resource Help Finder is now the app's name everywhere it lives, and this page is its live demo.
The window below always loads the live app. There is no old copy to go stale — what shipped is what opens.
What’s live right now
Checked against production on October 12, 2026. Resource Help Finder is the app's name. The build live today is 6.10.0, and the new name is live in the app itself, in its header, title, and settings. The web address does not change with the rename.
Covering the South Bend area
Resource Help Finder covers South Bend, Mishawaka, Nappanee and Elkhart County, with 295 places listed for food, shelter, bills, rides and more.
Downtown South Bend — the finder’s home area.

What do you need today?
The eight needs on the home screen — shown here at the new smaller disc size, 76px, so the tiles feel fluid, not gaudy. Tapping one opens the live app.
In the app today
- ✓Title centered, shadows pulled in tight — discs pop off the page without fanning out.
- ✓Tap a need, map finds you — tile taps auto-locate and sort closest-first. Decline once and it won’t nag again that session.
- ✓Glossy discs + blue helper button — the chat button is now a pulsing blue circle that catches the eye.
- ✓Language at the top — ENGLISH / ESPAÑOL toggle up top, plus light & dark modes.
- ✓Map + list together — search, Open now, Near me, My Day plan (up to 3 stops), Saved places, and forms you can finish later when signed in.
New in v6.10.0
- ✓“Click here for help” bubble beside the blue chat button so nobody misses the helper.
- ✓Guided walk-through — name first, then what you need, then email. Every question skippable, never re-asked, help never blocked.
- ✓Your helper file — when an email is shared, a file starts and the same record shows in “Your dashboard.”
- ✓New name everywhere — Resource Help Finder replaces the old name in the app header, title, manifest and settings. Web address stays the same.
- ✓Smaller discs, 88px → 76px — live in the grid above and in the app.
- ✓One warm form opening — forms now start with a single friendly message, then a simple choice.
- ✓No “not serving today” box — places that are not serving simply do not appear. Nothing extra to read.
- ✓Small Light | Dark pill — the menu's theme choice is now a small pill, like the language pair.
All of this shipped in v6.10.0 on October 12, 2026, and was verified live on production.
Try it in 20 seconds
For Mr. Chupp’s check when Aura says an update is ready.
Scroll up to the phone window, or tap “Open the live app.” Confirm the footer reads Version 6.10.0.
The map should center on your location and the list should sort closest-first.
That’s the helper. It opens the chat; watch for the “Click here for help” bubble beside it.
Every label should change language together — home, list, and chat.
